Cafe Zart on Hobrechtstraße offers a relaxed, approachable cafe experience that feels rooted in its Neukölln neighborhood. It’s the kind of spot where locals drop by whether they’re on a lazy weekend stroll or winding down after a morning at the nearby Maybachufer market. The vibe is easygoing and almost like settling into a friend’s living room, with a warm interior that becomes especially inviting in colder months thanks to a wood-burning stove.

The coffee here is solid and straightforward — expect well-pulled cappuccinos and lattes that pair naturally with the casual menu, which includes light bites like a trio of hummus perfect for sharing. Outdoor seating is a definite plus during warmer weather, offering an informal place to enjoy a drink, from coffee to a cold beer or a hot Aperol, while watching the neighborhood hum by. This is a spot that balances affordability with quality, a rare find in Berlin where prices can sometimes edge higher.

Staff are friendly without fuss, adding to the unpretentious atmosphere that makes Cafe Zart a staple for people who want something authentic rather than overly curated. Ideal visits are during weekday mornings or sunny weekend afternoons when the cafe taps into its community rhythm — a mix of market visitors, dog walkers, and locals who appreciate a timeless neighborhood cafe experience. If you’re passing through or looking for a calm pause away from tourist crowds, Cafe Zart holds steady as a genuine local pace to grab a drink and relax.

This was a random find of mine and damn what a great one. The interior is super cute, the playlist was top notch and the prices are unbeatable for a European capital. 5/5

Almost a living room atmosphere, easy going, fair prices, good drinks. Recommend!

My favourite cafe. Down to earth and relaxed setting in a neighbourhood where it's fast becoming hard to find non-hipster cafes. Thank you Zart for staying authentic and original. And the best is they have a wood burning stove in the winter- can't beat that.

Delicious beer for a fair price. During this summer days it is very nice to seat outside and grab a drink and some tapas. Totally recommended

Cafe Zart is one of my favourite stop-off points when I go to Maybachufer Market with my dogs. The coffee is good, the staff are very friendly and the prices resemble Berlin 10 or 15 years ago. If you want a good cup of coffee in this area, head over here. There is another coffee shop along the street that I went to once when Zart was closed. I shall not name them but needless to say, I did not finish my coffee there because it tasted foul and I'll stick to Cafe Zart.
